Certified Setters Listed

2010 has been a great year for USA Climbing!  USAC sanctioned well over 100 local, regional, divisional and national competitions.  SCS Adult Nationals at Winter OR in Salt Lake City were a huge success, followed by one of the best ABS Nationals ever held, at Sportrock in February.

The IFSC Boulder World Cup in Vail was one of the highlights of the season followed a month later by an incredible Youth SCS Nationals at Stone Summit.  Recently, USAC announced that the Vail World Cup will again be held in 2011 at the Teva Mountain Games, and in fall of 2011, Movement Climbing and Fitness will host a Lead World Cup as well!

In the last year we have certified dozens of new routesetters through our Level 1 and Level 2 clinics and National level Internships.  We are excited to begin a new season of competitions and continue to support and grow the field of competition setters.  We are publishing a current list of USAC Certified Routesetters HERE and all relevant information regarding the USAC Routesetting Clinic and Certification program, newly condensed into a comprehensive PDF, can be found HERE.

The list currently posted (dated 08.01.10) includes all USA Climbing Certified Routesetters.  As of the 2010-2011 season, in order to be listed as an active routesetter on the certified routesetters list, you must have a current USAC routesetter membership.  We will update this list in late 2010 to reflect all currently active routesetters who have purchased their membership.  You can do so HERE.

We hope the publication of this list will assist gym owners, managers and head routesetters in hiring qualified setters for competition positions and continue to improve the standards of competition routesetting in the US.  Please contact us at info@usacsetting.net with any questions regarding the USAC Routesetting Clinic and Certification program.
