Level 2 Clinic April 2011 – Mesa Rim Climbing Center
We have recently confirmed a Level 2 Clinic on the west coast for April 19th and 20th. Mesa Rim Climbing Center, which held a Level 1 USAC clinic just prior to their Grand Opening in 2010, will again host, and the clinic is scheduled just days before the gym hosts the Collegiate Climbing Series Nationals on April 23rd. This will give the opportunity for clinic participants who can stay through the weekend, to potentially see their routes in action at a National competition.
National Chief Setters, Chris Danielson and Molly Beard will be the instructors for this clinic. (It is important to note that we will not be holding a Level 2 Clinic alongside the CWA Summit in May, so this is the only opportunity for interested setters in pursuing their Level 2 this spring.)
This clinic is two full days and the cost is $300.00. A $55 USAC Routesetter Annual membership is also mandatory, and if you are not already a member, you may also purchase the membership online while registering. Successful participants in the clinic will receive Level 2 certification with endorsements based on their performance in one or more of the competition areas – Youth Bouldering, Adult Bouldering, Youth Sport, and Adult Sport.
Participation is capped at 10 and as we may have more interested participants than there are available spots for, we will have a brief application to determine clinic participants. Please download this form, complete, and send to Chris Danielson directly at cdanielson@gthi.com – applications will be reviewed on a first-come first-served basis with applicants who have either a Level 1 Certification or significant competition routesetting experience taking precedence. Accepted applicants will be provided a link to the USAC registration page. With any questions regarding this clinic, contact Chris Danielson directly at cdanielson@gthi.com.
