Kevin Branford

Kevin has more competition experience than the entire routesetting committee combined! As a youngster Kevin dominated the US and international competition scene. He took first place in 5 consecutive Junior National Championships and the Junior Continental Championships. Kevin also competed against some of the world’s top climbers at the ESPN X-Games in 1995, 1997, and 1998.In 1994 Kevin began his professional setting career by studying under legendary setter Tony Yaniro. Since that time he has set for SCS Nationals and countless other events across the US. Kevin has completed this international certification and has become one of only three active IFSC Internationally certified routesetters in the USA.

Kevin is also a climbing wall consultant servicing various passenger cruise lines. Kevin has dedicated more than half of his life to the sport of rock climbing and he looks forward to passing on his knowledge to the future of aspiring route setters.
