Kynan is from the Yaniro School of Routsetting and has been setting professionaly since 2000. He has turned wrenches for 16 SCS & ABS events including two stints as National Chief Setter. He is also one of three US setters to achieve IFSC International certification.

Kyan is also a 2-time Youth National Team Coach.He is currently working as an assistant for USA Climbing. Verve and La Sportiva continue to support Kynan so that he does not show up for competitions naked and barefoot.
