Level 1 Local

The Level 1 Local Certification is the first step in building your professional and competition setting career. Setters who earn a Level 1 Certification will be able to set safely and efficiently in a commercial gym facility and understand the basics of local competition organization and routesetting.

Certification is accomplished through the successful completion of a Level 1 Local clinic.

 
Clinic Duration

  • 2 days

Prerequisites

  • Ability to work 5.10 & V3
  • 6 months setting experience

Outcomes*

  • Level 1 Local Certification
  • Certified to be a route setter at Local USAC competitions

Membership Requirements

  • To maintain Level 1 Local certification setters must pay an annual membership fee of $39
  • Setters must also set at least two USAC Local events every two years

* Attendance at a clinic does not guarantee that the participant will be certified; only those individuals that meet the minimum criteria for success will be granted a certification.
