Level 4 National Chief
The Level 4 National Chief Certification certifies highly qualified setters to be Chief Setter at USAC National and exhibition events.
Certification is accomplished through a successful internship during two USAC National or exhibition events where the intern will work as an understudy to the Chief Setter. At the completion of the second event the intern will receive a pass or fail at the discretion of attending Executive Committee and Routesetter Committee members.
A candidate will be certified for either bouldering or roped events at one time (their ‘chosen discipline’). If a candidate chooses to certify for both disciplines at different times, each certification will be judged independently of the other.
