Level 2

The Level 2 Certification focuses on intermediate to advanced competition route setting techniques, including competition organization. Setters who receive a Level 2 Certification will be able to set creative forced sequences for routes and boulders.

Certification is accomplished through the successful completion of a Level 2 clinic.

Clinic Duration

  • 2 days

Prerequisites

  • Level 1 Local Certification; OR experience setting at 2 or more ABS Regional or SCS Divisional level competitions
  • Ability to work a minimum of 5.12 & V5

Outcomes*

  • Level 2 Regional Certification
  • Certified to be Assistant Routesetter at ABS Regional or SCS Divisional events

* Attendance at a clinic does not guarantee that the participant will be certified; only those individuals that meet the minimum criteria for success will be granted a certification.
