| USAC Level 1 Clinic: Rise Up Climbing Gym: July 17th and 18th, 2010
National Routesetter Mike Helt will be instructing this Level 1 USAC Clinic. Learn the basics of competition routesetting, and improve skills and techniques for commercial setting. Level 1 Clinics cover bouldering and roped terrain, focusing on techniques for efficient routesetting, theory and tools to understand and create climbing movement effectively, and introductory tricks and tips for competition routesetting. This clinic is two full days and costs $100.00 plus a $39 USAC Routesetter Annual Membership. Participants who successfully complete the clinic will receive a USAC Level 1 Routesetter Certification. This Level 1 Clinic at Clubsport in Portland, Oregon and will be instructed by USAC National Routesetter Molly Beard. Molly is a leading routesetter in the Pacific Northwest and has experience setting numerous National Level Youth ABS, and Youth and Adult SCS events. This clinic is a great opportunity to learn the basics of competition routesetting, improve skills and techniques for commercial setting, and work with a top USA Climbing National setter at a National level host facility. Level 1 Clinics cover bouldering and roped terrain, focusing on techniques for efficient routesetting, theory and tools to understand and create climbing movement effectively, and introductory tricks and tips for competition routesetting.
